The last few months have been all about baking bread, but have you gone out of your comfort zone to learn how to cook healthy and tasty meals? It’s not an easy job if you’re not born with the gift to cook. I’m surprised Silicon Valley hasn’t come up with a robot that can fully prepare our meals yet, but this line of smart cookware gets pretty close: the Hestan Cue.

I don’t feel like a dud in the kitchen anymore. Yes, I still have to do all the hard work of peeling and chopping (which I hate) but Hestan Cue guides you through the whole recipe process. No matter how much you suck at cooking, some kind of magic happens when you use Hestan cookware, and your meals turn out tasty every time.

To start, get the smart cooktop. The induction cooktop will become your new best friend in the kitchen along with the Hestan Cue app. They sync up to control the temperature on the cooktop while the app highlights the steps you need to follow in order to cook any of the recipes available. Then choose your favorite type of cookware: a smart pan, a chef’s pot, or a smart sauce pot. Once you’ve made your investment, you are good to go! You won’t be able to use regular cookware with the Hestan Cue cooktop so you’ll need to purchase at least one of their smart pans.

Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows Contracts COVID-19

AL Drago/Reuters

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has contracted COVID-19—weeks after an outbreak infected a slew of Trumpworld figures, including the president.

In addition to the 61-year-old Meadows, a Trump campaign aide, Nick Trainer, reportedly is also sick, according to Bloomberg, which was first to report the diagnoses.

The news comes just two weeks after Meadows shockingly admitted on television that the Trump administration has decided it is “not going to control the pandemic.”

Inside Justin Bieber’s Pastor’s Wild Cheating Scandal

Carl Lentz, the pastor credited with bringing the Instagram-friendly Australian megachurch Hillsong to the U.S. and baptizing Justin Bieber, was fired this week from the New York franchise he helped found.

Hillsong founder Brian Houston announced the news in an email to Hillsong East Coast members on Nov. 5. “God will use Carl in another way outside of Hillsong Church,” Houston wrote. “This action has been taken following ongoing discussions in retaliation to leadership issues and breaches of trust, plus a recent revelation of moral failures.”

Houston didn’t elaborate on the “moral failures,” but Lentz hinted at them the following day in a statement on Instagram. “I did not do an adequate job of protecting my own spirit, refilling my own soul, and reaching out for the readily available help that is available,” Lentz wrote. “I was unfaithful in my marriage, the most important relationship in my life, and held accountable for that. This failure is on me, and me alone, and I take full responsibility for my actions.” (Lentz and his wife Laura have three children.)

Jimmy Kimmel Gleefully Mocks Trump’s Apparent Defeat

Jimmy Kimmel could not be happier. On Friday night’s edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late-night host emerged dancing to the Village People’s “YMCA”—mimicking Trump at his rallies, before proclaiming, “Not only are we taking the White House back, we’re taking that down back too!”

Yes, one day after he said that Trump should be “arrested” over his dangerous lies about the election results being fraudulent, the comic appeared more joyful than angry, given how, with growing leads in Pennsylvania and Georgia, Joe Biden is poised to become the 46th President of the United States.

“For the first time in about four years, it’s looking like there’s no need to feel down,” said Kimmel. “Ding-dong, the witch-hunt is almost dead, the wing-monkeys are about to fly out of the White House, the cowardly liar is hitting the Yellow Brick Road, and I don’t know about you but I would not want to be Donald Trump’s MyPillow tonight.”

The Second the Presidency Ends—the Trump Family Grift Begins

Drew Angerer/Getty

Donald Trump may be losing the presidency—apparently—but if he does, all that means is the grift is just getting started for the president and his large adult sons.

No, they are not going off into the sunset without one last, potentially eternal money grab. MAGA-world is going “activist” with #StopTheSteal. Needless to say, #StopTheSteal is really #StartTheGrift.

Trumpworld is down. They sense they’ve lost the election, but that doesn’t mean they don’t think they shouldn’t continue to hold on to power, perhaps they don’t understand how elections work. Or more likely Trumpworld is trying to cash in before they cash out.

MISSOULA, Montana—A far-right pastor with a history of alleged bullying has a new hustle.

His plan: To publicly shame people who report violations of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions to the government by publishing their names and faces on billboards. Or at least try.

“We know the names of quite a few of these snitches,” Jordan “J.D.” Hall claimed in an interview with The Daily Beast, though he refused to disclose how he might have obtained them.

Sean Connery’s James Bond Like You’ve Never Seen Him Before

A movie star can be a powerful presence in our lives, their image and persona literally larger than life as they move across the movie screen, and yet they can also make that vital connection with us. It’s a connection that can last a lifetime.

By the time Sean Connery took up the mantle of portraying James Bond, Ian Fleming’s literary creation was already popular. Connery’s embodiment of Bond immediately imprinted itself on so many peoples’ imaginations. In the process, Connery’s realization of the character played a key part in the evolution of the “event movie” phenomenon that we so readily associate with certain genre movies today. Event movies have always been a staple of cinema but Connery-as-Bond perhaps marked a moment when it became all the more a part of pop culture.

Trump Will Have His Own ‘Deep State’—and His Own #Resistance

Photo Illustration by Kelly Caminero/The Daily Beast/Getty

It’s more likely than not, as of this writing, that Joe Biden will defeat Donald Trump once the final votes are counted. That is only a half a victory for the alliance of centrist Democrats and national security veterans known colloquially as the #Resistance.

That loose coalition, influential amongst Democratic elites and prominent on social media, was looking not only for a Biden victory but a landslide rejection of Donald Trump. Their theory of governing a post-Trump country depends upon a repudiation of MAGA—what Biden called a battle for the soul of America. While the margin of victory was wide, around 4 million votes, it wasn’t the hoped-for political annihilation. John Sipher, a former CIA officer prominent in the #Resistance, summed it up by tweeting Tuesday night that he didn’t understand his country. That echoed the major criticism of the #Resistance coming from both Republicans and the left.

As Trump likely moves out of the White House, he leaves behind a Republican Party remade in his image, as well as a security apparatus he attempted to dominate. That puts a Trump in exile in position to have a #Resistance of his own—one that unites loyalist former security officials whom Trump gave the credential of running intelligence agencies with serving officials at Trumpy redoubts like the Department of Homeland Security. Already, on Thursday, his former acting director of national intelligence, Richard Grenell, baselessly insisted before a bank of TV cameras that Democrats are stealing the vote in Nevada. Meanwhile, without Trump in office, the original Democratic #Resistance coalition may not be so stable.

‘Be Patient,’ Biden Tells Nation That’s Slowly Losing Its Mind

Former Vice President Joe Biden wants you to trust in the process—even though the process is driving you slowly insane.

“We don’t have a final declaration of victory yet,” Biden said in Wilmington, Delaware on Friday evening. But, Biden continued, “the numbers tell us a clear and convincing story: we’re going to win this race.

Biden’s address, delivered in the parking lot of Wilmington’s Chase Center, sought to lower the temperature of a feverish nation. It was a laudable if difficult goal, particularly in comparison to the actions of rival President Donald Trump, who in the days after the election has unilaterally declared himself the victor of a presidential contest he appears on the verge of losing.
